  An International Congress organized by UNESCO with the support of the Government of Italy and under the patronage of the city of Venice on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention.
• The Virtual Congress: World Heritage in the Digital Age
  Building on new capabilities in multimedia and Internet technologies, the Virtual Congress will link six global conferences aiming to facilitate the elaboration of policies for protection of heritage and future methods of applying digital technologies as a tool for monitoring and safeguarding World Heritage Sites.
